Mold Identification Service Molds can be found in a wide variety of places and, along with pollens, are an important cause of seasonal allergic rhinitis. HollisterStier offers a mold identification kit to enable you and your patient to identify the type and location of a mold allergen. - A set of five plates (Petri dishes) is mailed to you or your patient with full instructions. Each contains a growth medium to be exposed for one hour in or around the patient's home or work environment, at the direction of the prescribing physician. The plates are sealed and returned to HollisterStier for incubation. After incubation (usually four weeks), the resultant colonies are identified and counted, and a report is sent to the prescribing physician.
