Mission Statement

Corporate philanthropy support is based on the same tenets as the HollisterStier mission statement.

"Programs that improve the quality of life of our customers, employees, and our community."

Available Funds

• HollisterStier has up to $5,000 available per quarter to distribute to application requests.
• Most applications request $500 or $1,000.
• HollisterStier reviews these requests quarterly: March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1.

Areas of Focus

• Agencies that strive for excellence and are committed to supporting and enhancing our community. These include health associations, civic and cultural organizations.
• HollisterStier supports projects that seek to improve the Northeast Spokane neighborhood, where our facility is located.
• HollisterStier employees are active in the community and HollisterStier encourages this involvement. Employee requests for donations to the organizations they are involved with are considered.
• A distinctive emphasis is given to K-12 science related programs.
• Local programs that encourage youth development.
• Area colleges and universities.
• Endowments and scholarships are reviewed under special consideration.

Funding Restrictions

Generally the following areas of interest are not supported:

• Activities related to individual sponsorship.
• Religious groups.
• Sports sponsorships.
• Golf tournaments.
• Operating budgets.
• Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, or national origin.
• Community advertising.
• HollisterStier supports United Way in its annual campaign, therefore unless the request is for special projects, additional support will not be considered.
• HollisterStier does not make multi-year commitments.
• Unfortunately the number of requests out number the available resources available each year making HollisterStier unable to contribute to every request.

• Print or download an application, fully complete the application and return to HollisterStier by mail, fax or e-mail.

• If this is a request for an endowment or scholarship, please check the special request box on the application form, and give a statement of purpose.
• Applications are reviewed quarterly by an internal committee.

• Submit application at least one week before review date.
• Responses and funds will be mailed by approximately the 15th of the month of application review.
• Please do not send videos, binders, CDs, DVDs or books. HollisterStier will contact you if the review of additional material is necessary.
• Applicants may only apply for funds once per calendar year.
